AB Development Studies
Development Studies is a distinct field of interdisciplinary study, research and policy analysis directed at understanding the conditions and processes of economic, social and global transformation. The program brings together the faculty of Economics, Sociology-Anthropology, Political Science, Management, Psychology and the action-research centers based in the Ateneo.
The innovative AB in Development Studies combines analytical rigor with the practical considerations of the development dynamics in the Philippines. Its curriculum provides a healthy balance of socio-economic theories, policy analysis, and management tools—making the discipline truly contemporary.
The program provides an excellent preparation for careers in corporate foundation work, government, NGOs, international organizations, research and law. It is also ideal for students who wish to pursue graduate studies in Development Economics, Development Management, Social and Community Work,
International Relations, Human Resource Development, Public Administration, and other related fields.
