ROOTS

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Reaching Out for Opportunities To Serve (ROOTS) is a program that will provide formation and development to Ateneo students, molding them towards responsible citizenship. ROOTS would like to create venues for social involvement to the students relative to their own given skills, expertise, and resources to help address needs in our society.

ROOTS aims to fuel the growing concern amongst students – knowing that there is a lot to be done but not knowing where to help out. Furthermore, it plans to strengthen the student sector’s role in nation-building by promoting involvement in direct action against poverty.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

ROOTS was formed with the vision of students realizing that they can actively contribute to nation-building by recognizing their capabilities, honing them and sharing these skills plus their own wealth of knowledge to projects that would benefit the under-resourced communities or sectors in Philippine society.
