RUN TO FEED

The Ateneo de Manila University through the Ateneo Center for Educational Development (ACED), spearheads the university’s mission to close the poverty gap and improve the quality of life through improving public basic education in scale. It aims the move the performance of clusters of public schools through initiatives that are need-based, community-owned and outcomes-based by engaging various units of the Ateneo de Manila, the school communities, Dep Ed at the national and local levels, local government and private institutions and organizations.

As ACED celebrates its 15th anniversary in February 2012, the university will host a fun run entitled RUN TO FEED at the Ateneo de Manila campus on February 26 as part of its fund raising activities, specifically for its feeding programs.

The fun run is expected to host a maximum of 3,000 runners, which include participants from various public schools supported by ACED. The run aims to raise money, support and awareness for ACED’s work toward public school development, particularly its feeding programs for public elementary school pupils.

We will be partnering with professional race course organizers in designing the routes for the 3km, 5km and 10km events, as well as to help us in other technical matters to ensure the success of the run and the safety of the participants.
