Student Residences

For non-Manila residents, there is a large number of on-campus and off-campus residences available for Ateneo students. In general though, it is less expensive to live with relatives or friends while studying in Manila.

On-Campus

The Ateneo Residence Halls, composed of the Cervini Hall, Eliazo Hall, and the newly-built University Dormitory, is located inside the campus. Close to 1,000 resident students who come mostly from the provinces, are accommodated by the Ateneo Residence Halls. Of this number, a third is open for freshman dormers every year. The current basic lodging fee for a new dormer is around Php 37,000.00 per semester, which is annually adjusted by at most 10%. The Ateneo Residence Halls is perhaps the first student residences in the country which has internet access in each room for every resident.

Students who intend to reside in the campus must secure an application form from the Office of the Residence Halls, the Office of Admission and Aid or from the nearest Provincial Testing Center. Dorm Application Forms will be available starting June 11, 2012.

Upon request, application forms may be sent by mail. The Dorm Application fee is Php 500.00. Checks or postal money orders must be payable to Ateneo de Manila University. Completed application requirements must be submitted to the Office of the Residence Halls by December 15, 2012.

Among other criteria for admission, dorm applicants must have a high sense of discipline and responsibility, potential in contributing positively to dorm life and capability to live in a community of young people with varied cultures and backgrounds. Results will be released in January 2013.
