Ateneo-AUF-CHED Off-Shore MS Programs
Off-Shore Program: M.S. Biology, Chemistry & Physics

We are pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for M.S. programs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics under the CHED Off-Shore Program for northern Luzon. This program is being offered by the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) as the delivering higher education institution (DHEI), in partnership with the Angeles University Foundation (AUF) as the host higher education institution (HHEI).

The Off-Shore Program (OSP) is an innovative M.S. degree program which seeks to upgrade the level of faculty members in the basic sciences. The key features of the OSP are as follows:
•    The OSP is fully funded by the Commission on Higher Education. The scholarships includes: full tuition and fees, stipend, transportation, research allowance, and start-up research grant (see Table 1).
•    It is a combination part-time and full-time M.S. degree program, with a program of study covering six semesters and three summer terms.  During the course work stage, it is a part-time program and the courses are delivered at AUF. During the three summer terms and research stage, it is a full-time program at AdMU.
•    The M.S. degree will be granted by AdMU.
•    Only fifteen scholarship slots in each area are available.
•    Applicants must take the Ateneo Graduate Examination and Subject Test which will be given at AUF on Sept 11, 2010.   The notice of acceptance will be made on Sept 25, 2010. Contract signing and enrollment will be on Oct 9, 2010.

•   Bridging will be offered SY 2010 2nd Semester and 2011 Summer. The M.S. programs proper will start SY 2011 1st Semester and will end SY 2013, 1st Semester
This program is open to faculty members from CHED-recognized Higher Education Institutions and science high schools in northern Luzon. The application must be endorsed by the head of the institution.  Participation in the program requires that the scholars strictly follow the program of study. Bridging courses are also included in the program of study.
