Brigada Eskwela
May 2008


A school maintenance week, dubbed as Brigada Eskwela, was conducted in 9 schools in Jaen and 3 schools in Gen. Tinio, NE last May 2008.   Some student leaders and teachers from the Ateneo High School volunteered to help in this activity.  Aside from helping clean and repair school facilities, the volunteers also gave donations such as pencils and reference books.


Game Ka Na Ba?
An Inter-School Math and English Competition
October 11, 2008

An Inter-school Math and English competition was conducted last October 11, 2008 at the College of the Immaculate Conception in Cabanatuan City.  The contest was run by the Ateneo de Manila High School Mathematics and English Departments.  The participating towns were Jaen, San Isidro, Cabiao and Gen. Tinio.  A total of 870 Grade 6 students participated in the competition.

The result of the competition are as follows:

Supplementary Materials

Last July 4, 2008, 6 boxes of reading books for kindergarten pupils were donated by Sa Aklat Sisikat Foundation, Inc., through ACED, at Langla Elementary School in Jaen, Nueva Ecija.

In August 15, 2008, a total of 15 boxes of reference books and resource materials were donated by the Ateneo de Manila Grade School, through ACED, to Langla Elementary School and Calabasa Elementary School.

In January 17 and 19, 2009, Math and English Skill Practice Booklets were distributed to the schools for the use of 3,018 Grade 6 students in 122 schools in the 4th District of Nueva Ecija in preparation for the National Achievement Tests (NAT) for SY 2008-2009.



Christmas Gift Giving

Last December 18, 2008, through the generosity of some faculty members from the Ateneo, private donors and some organizations, Christmas gift packs were given to a total of 91 schools and 4 district supervisors as a gesture of a strong partnership for the development of public schools in the district.
