ACORD - Ateneo Center for Organization Research and Development

The Ateneo Center for Organization Research and Development (Ateneo CORD), formerly known as the Human Resources Center, is a training and research arm of the Department of Psychology.

A major thrust of the Center is the honing of Human Resource (HR) Management competencies among practitioners and line managers. This is accomplished through two avenues:

* the mentoring of masteral level students who are expected to practice in the field
* the offering of a Diploma in Strategic Human Resources Management as continuing education for professionals.

As an academic institution, Ateneo CORD also engages in scholarly research to create and manage knowledge in HRM in the Philippines. Through the conduct of applied research, organization leaders are guided in crafting and pursuing effective and responsible human resource strategies.

Over the past years, Ateneo CORD has directly assisted organizations through its consulting services. It is involved in the assessment, design and implementation of the full range of HR systems such as: selection, performance and rewards management, and employee well-being.

Ateneo CORD consultants facilitate organizational capability building through strategic planning, culture management and process reengineering.

Ateneo CORD is a partner of organizations in business, government, non-government, academe, and religious institutions.


Its mission is to translate theoretical knowledge of human behavior into tools for people development and well-being in organizations and communities. The Center lives out this mission to help improve organization effectiveness and the quality of worklife through training, research and consulting.
