BS/M Applied Mathematics Major in Mathematical Finance

The BS/M Applied Mathematics Major in Mathematical Finance (AMF) is a 5-year program where the student will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree at the end of the fourth year and may opt to apply for a Master’s degree which may be obtained at the end of the fifth year. The curriculum and content of the program have been designed by the Mathematics Department together with other departments in the University and leading practitioners from major financial institutions in the country.  The AMF program is designed to meet the growing needs of the financial industry for graduates with strong background in finance and mathematics. 

 

Graduates of the 5-year program pursue careers in the different units of banks and other financial institutions.  In particular, they can expect successful careers in the Treasury and Risk Management units, finance departments of private corporations, government institutions and even the academe.
