molecule model    The department of Physics envisions a Philippine society that recognizes Physics as a fundamental component of national development. As a collegial community of scientists and scholars, it is committed to play a key role in physics research and education in the Philippine and the Asian Region thru the Ignacian tradition of excellence. We see a department that shapes graduates to be leaders responsive to the development needs of the country and the region.

The department aims to be a center of excellence in the fields of Physics Education, Photonics, Material Science and Atmospheric Physics, committing ourselves to:

· Provide students relevant education and an environment of research for their complete formation as scientists for the country and the region

· Establish vibrant partnerships with educational institutions in Physics education and research

· Link with industry and government in Physics research and training programs, and

· Participate in interdisciplinary research.
