Ma. Mercedes T. Rodrigo
I am an associate professor of the Ateneo de Manila University. I teach in the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science. My areas of specialization are educational technology, intelligent tutoring systems and affective computing. 

I am currently studying students’ behavior and affect when using problem-solving environments. My collaborators include Dr. Ryan Baker of the Human Computer Interaction Institute and Pittsburgh Science of Learning Center, at Carnegie Mellon University, Ulises Xolocotzin of the University of Nottingham, UK, Dr. Celeste Gonzales of the Education Department of the Ateneo, Dr. Jean-Francois Nicaud of the Institut d’Informatique et Mathematiques Appliquees de Grenoble (IMAG) in France, and Mr. Sidney D’Mello, a researcher at the Institute for Intelligent Systems and a PhD Candidate in the Computer Science Department at The University of Memphis
