Be an ACED Student Volunteer!

Second  General Assembly with Fr. Ben Nebres.

School year 2006-2007 saw the birth of the Ateneo Center for Educational Development's new partner in the realization of success stories for Philippine public schools, the ACED Volunteers' Team.

In 2006, ACED welcomed its first batch of Ateneo Student Volunteers from the Loyola Schools, many of whom are products of public schools. They have diverse interests and varied personalities, but shared a commitment to Philippine public schools.  They have worked to document ACED's work with its partner schools and communities, and also have the freedom to organize and conduct relevant and meaningful projects for the benefit of ACED's public school stakeholders.  Together, they've worked to drive sustainable growth and foster excellence in public education.

With remarkable ardor for service, ACED volunteers extend time and effort to assist ACED programs such as the Public School Teacher Training Program and the Principal Empowerment Program.  Although busy with academics, the ACED student volunteers always find time to lend a hand with much joy and cheer.  Their presence infects ACED with much laughter, fresh inspiration, and a strong sense of hope in the country's future.
